Warke-Horn Scholarship
Bob Warke and Dale Horn were the heart and soul of Hokendauqua youth sports. Their participation spanned four decades and their first concern was always the development of the children. The HPPA Bob Warke – Dale Horn Scholarship is a testimonial in recognition to their lifelong dedication to the association and the youth of the area.
Each year, the HPPA will award two $1,000 scholarships in Bob Warke & Dale Horn’s memory to one girl and one boy who has met the eligibility requirements, been evaluated on the scholarship criteria, will graduate from high school within the current fiscal year and will continue their education at a university, college or trade school in the fall.
Eligibility
Eligibility for the scholarship requires that the applicant must have participated in a HPPA athletic program for at least two years and completed their 8th grade eligibility. If an applicant participated in the HPPA’s Baseball, Softball or Basketball programs for two years and then played on a high school freshman sports team when they were in 8th grade, they remain eligible for the scholarship. To apply for the scholarship, all applicants must complete a Bob Warke – Dale Horn Scholarship Application. Scholarship applications are available below.
